The Camille & Henry Dreyfus Foundation 4th biennial Teacher-Scholar Symposium was held on October 28 at the New York Academy of Sciences. RFI has been working with the Foundation, which supports the advances in the chemical sciences since 2008. October was a busy month for RFI. Loring Consulting Engineers celebrated their 60th anniversary with a celebration in NYC at The Glasshouses in Chelsea. Coordinated by RFI, the event topped a year of RFI marketing initiatives, including a new website. The National Academy of Construction (NAC) is a select organization of industry leaders whose professional careers demonstrate outstanding contributions to the engineering and construction industry. Established in 2000, the National Academy of Construction today has over 150 distinguished members from every segment of the industry—owners, contractors, government, the legal profession, communications, and academia. On September 17, 2015, The ACE Mentor Program of Greater New York celebrated its annual Fall Cocktail Event at the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum. The yearly event, now in its 10th year, showcases an exciting new or renovated facility in Manhattan and is an important fundraiser for ACE. This summer RFI had the pleasure of working with intern Emily Palmer who is entering her senior year at Marist College this fall. Emily worked with both RFI and Trilogy Publications, applying her excellent research and writing/editing/proofreading skills to a range of projects. Her favorite: research into a future book for Trilogy, Those Amazing Architects, and development of a preliminary outline. We wish Emily all the best in the year ahead!
