Five of the nation’s leading research chemists and educators spoke at the third Camille & Henry Dreyfus Foundation Teacher-Scholar Symposium on Friday, October 24, at the New York Academy of Sciences in downtown Manhattan. The day-long program was streamed live beginning at 9:30 a.m.
The Symposium brought together past and present recipients of the Dreyfus Foundation’s Teacher-Scholar Awards, which are granted to talented, emerging faculty in the chemical sciences based on their independent research and teaching accomplishments. Approximately 40 of the most recent Teacher-Scholars presented posters of their research at this year’s event bracketed by feature presentations from four renowned past Teacher-Scholars and a preeminent digital learning expert.
Since 2008, RFI has been working with the Foundation whose mission is to advance research in the chemical sciences and has supported the Foundation with development of a website, annual reports, publicity and a video (www.dreyfus.org and click on photo of Dreyfus brothers).
